McCall 7444 ~ Perfect for Fall

How many of you are ready for Fall !! I have to say that I am this time around and that\’s rare because I honestly THOUGHT I could do summer year round . I LOVE the warm months but THIS summer has be BRUTAL here in the South ! Today is suppose to be the 3rd day of Fall and while eatching my sun play his soccer game today I literally felt my skin baking !! So I am ready , I welcome the cool air …. BUT NOT TO COOL! So be nice to me FALL !

Well I have began my Fall sewing with a pattern that was just released by McCall :
When I saw this pattern I instantly fell in love !  I love One piece outfits! …. I mean its throw on one piece ….. accessorize and your out the door !! What more could you ask for ?!
This pattern is by Beaute\’ J\’Adore … I have been following her for a while on instagram and I LOVE her style ! When she announced that she would be releasing a few patterns with McCall I knew they would be FIRE ..and they are !
I plan on getting the others but this was the first one on my TO DO LIST !
I had a wedding this weekend to attend so I figured this would be perfect for the occasion !
I was right .. this jumpsuit was a HIT .. It got so many compliments !
The fit of this jumpsuit it EVERYTHING …
It does not say it on the pattern but I would suggest using fabric with a slight stretch to it .
The crotch is cut very high and its very form fitting so a fabric with  a slight stretch would make it more comfortable to wear, sit and move around in ..
The construction of the jumpsuit was a breeze but I did find one mistake in the pattern .
The pattern envelope calls for 1/2 yard of lining but you will need much more than that . The jumpsuit is partially self lined(front and back bodice pieces)  and the other part ( midriff and Leg pieces ) call for lining . I ended up using about 1 3/4 yards of lining . I did contact McCall  on this error and they are working to get it corrected !

I cut a size 12 .
The only alteration I made was to add 2 inches to the legs to compensate for my long legs !

I mean you couldn\’t tell me a DAMN thing once I put this jumpsuit on !! I got compliments all night !
I love it and definitely will be making more !!
Its perfect to throw a jacket over whenever the cooler weather decided to arrive !

I used a plum Suiting fabric that I had in my stash for my Jumpsuit !
Its so Chic and the plunging neckline give it such a Sassy look !

Well hunnies ! I\’m off to do more Fall sewing !
I hope you like !!
Until Next Time !!!!
