Linen Dreams

Every year I make a promise to myself that I will sew more outfits that I can actually wear more than once and every year I break that promise to myself .

I made that same promise to myself this year and I’m really working toward keeping it . This outfit checks ALL those boxes! It is chic, comfortable ,fashionable.

When I saw this pattern I really knew it would become a staple in my wardrobe . Both of the pieces can be paired with other pieces. I decided to go with the tunic ( View B) minus the button .

I used some Lyocell Linen from Joann’s that I have had in my stash for over a year!

This was the perfect outfit for it . Once I washed this linen it was SEW soft on my skin !

Alterations

I added 2 inches to the sleeves on the tunic

I added a 1 1/2 inches to the pants .

I omitted the button on the tunic .

I used a blind hem on the pants to eliminate the hem line

I really love how this outfit turned out and the two patterns of the fabric work so well together . I plan on making the top in the shorter version VERY soon!

Well , I am off to make more sustainable pieces for my work wardrobe !

Until Next Time XOXO

I recently found your blog, and I am so glad I did! This outfit looks so much better on you than on the package – almost makes me want to try it for myself!
