Hey loves!! This week has been soooo hectic , but i made it thru ….barely 🙂 .
OK so I had to dresses due in two weeks !! My daughters prom was yesterday and as I told you all in previous post , I am a contestant in the \”Rippin Aint Easy\” competition hosted by Pretty Girls Sew!
My dress was due for submisson Thursday of this week and hers i had to have completed Friday … so it was definitely a race to the finish line for me :- |
Colorblocking, is a method of wearing multiple solid colors in an outfit. It is sometimes written as color blocking, with two separate words. The outfit revolves around a palette of two or more colors, usually in bold and bright shades. The result is a simple yet very chic look. Prints and patterns are typically not used in colorblocking, as such designs would take away from the “blocked”
visual.
The next and hardest part of the challenge for me was was figuring out what colors I wanted to use because I felt that was SUPER important . I wanted to use colors that complimented each other . I had recently traveled to Fine Fabrics in Norcross , Ga and purchased a medium weight Coral knit . I decide to use it because of the vibrant color but I still needed another color to compliment it . I decided to go with a creme knit to give the Coral the highest contrast possible!
I decided after picking the colors that I wanted to turn the skirt into a cute CHIC dress so I chose my old reliable M6964
Voting begins today so please follow the link at the bottom of this post to go vote for me !!!Â
