Mens Wear – Simplicity 8180

I love making clothes for him !! SIKE ! … Well I do but I don\’t, Ill explain …..
He is SO hard to please,  from the purchase of the fabric to the finish product he has his critical eye on 1000% !!

But its cool because it… HE…  really challenges me !!

The fabric alone was a challenge because this was my first time matching prints and it was a doozie, but so worth it  !!  I took my time and used a few tutorials online to achieve my end result
Pattern I used :

I used a light cotton checkered print that I purchased from Joann\’s . He wasn\’t super crazy about the color at first but I could tell as it came together her really began to like it !

This is the perfect summer work shirt. The fabric is light enough to wear out in the sun without fainting, but the long sleeves  make it ideal for those offices that like their AC on subzero!

The fit took a little perfecting because he sits comfortably in between a Medium and Large sooooo I had to work that out … LOL !

I really love how it turned out ! I think he did to !

He wasn\’t crazy about the facing in the pattern so I will try another pattern the next time I make him a shirt.Aside from the pattern matching, the shirt was very simple to make !

Until Next Time !!

My hubby has been wanting me to make him a shirt so this is really inspiring. My hubby is tall and super lean (and picky too) so I think the fitting will be a challenge but I'm going to give it a go this fall. Thanks for always inspiring.

I've just bought this pattern. I only got it for the boxers but you've inspired me to give the shirt a go.
