Whew! Today was a day ! You ever have one of those off days that doesn\’t really feel like a off day because you spend so much time running that you have NO time for yourself?
TODAY… was one of those days !
I did however find time a midst all the running to get some pictures of my latest make Vogue 9146 !!
When I decided to use this fabric I knew that it had a busy print so it needed a simple silhouette ..
I really chose to make this dress because I had been gifted some beautiful winter fabrics and didn\’t just want them to go to waste 🙂 This one was my favorite so I began with it!
I am not positive on the EXACT content of the fabric but I know that it has wool in it and I love the look and feel of it !!
I love how it turned out and it is perfect for these COLD winter days !
The dress is sooo comfortable !
I\’m all about Chic and Comfortable so this will be the perfect addition to my wardrobe!
I feel that the color and texture of the fabric lends itself to the Vintage Era !
I chose to pair it with nude heels ,a cute puff toboggan and a nude bag to help seal that Vintage Deal!
The pattern was a breeze to follow .
I followed the instructions for the bodice and winged it from there.
Alterations :
Instead of using the skirt pattern pieces that came with the pattern, I cut two pieces the width of my fabric (60\”) and my desired length (42\”) .

I then gathered those pieces to match the width of the front and back bodice .
Before connecting them I added my pockets 5\” below the waist ( on both the front and back pieces) and conneted them together.
I followed the instructions to add my zipper and then hemmed the bottom!
Wala !!
Oh ! I did extend the arms 2\” to accommodate my wingspan !
