Vogue 9253

 OK so this pattern!!!
Like most, when I saw it I SQUEALED …..literally SQUEALED !!
I mean its gorgeous … The Deep V-neck and Kimono style sold it for me!
Before I go any further let me introduce the pattern ( as if you didn\’t know )

Vogue 9253

I chose to Sew Up View B
I wanted a more dramatic look so I went with the longer version
I used a beautiful floral charmeuse fabric from Joann \’s Fabric.
I ended up ordering mine from their warehouse because there wasn\’t enough in the store. I\’m not sure ill do this again because it took nearly three weeks before my fabric got to me!
Once I got the fabric I didn\’t regret ordering it one little bit! It was beautiful !!

About the Pattern ……

Pattern Description: Deep V-neck Kimono style dress  ( Short and Long Versions)
Pattern Sizing: I cut a size 12
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? Yes
Were the instructions easy to follow? Yes, they were very easy. It was a very easy sew.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? The dress was very easy to make and it really gives you the option of closing up the front some if you don\’t want to be as daring as me 🙂
Fabric Used: Charmeuse
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: I added 4 inches to the length to make sure that it hit the floor WITH heels on.
Would you sew it again? Yes, defintily!! (the long version)
So now that we have all the details of the dress out of the way lets talk about what Im sure you are all wondering …
Undergarments !
When I saw this dress I knew the immediate challenge would be holding the girls up, so I began my research EARLY . There are not many options avalible for the heavy-chested gal. I mean I\’m normally a \”underwire needing\” type of chick so I needed to know that the bra, no matter how temporary, was going to offer support. After several weeks of searching and researching, I decided on the \”ToBeinStyle Women\’s Deep Plunge Convertible V Bra\”.

I decided on this one after reading several reviews about how good the support was for the bigger chest. When the bra arrived I was instantly doubtful, there didn\’t seem to be much in the way support! I was pleasantly surprised once I tried it on!  I don\’t know how, because there is NO underwire, but it held the girls up!  Now I will say that bending over is a NO GO but, out to dinner or a movie would keep them nice and taunt!
Here are a few pictures of the bra …
The cups have padding so they act as a slight pushup bra.
There is no elastic but the cups form to your breast, that plus the stiffness of the material help with support. I really felt comfortable in this bra.

I still had to try it on ….. and pray that it fell lower than the cut of the dress ……

Perfect ….. at least in my book 🙂

The bra was so worth the purchase !
I don\’t own a ton of low clothing ( this is the only one) but I will definitely have a reason to make more now !!!!   Right?! … NO?!   LOL
Anyway, let me shut up! More Pics ……

Until Next Time … XOXOXO
